Posted in Uncategorized on April 21, 2011 by dusamthingI don’t really like to write or talk too much about myself. But I don’t have anything that says anything about me on this site. So here’s a little snippet.
Over the years I’ve had a number of people ask me, “What is DUSA?” I’ve really only answered a few people. DUSA is an acronym that I came up with which stands for “Dangerously Underestimated Solo Artist”. It isnt supposed to be menacing or anything, its more of a view point. An idea that represents me. The ability to stand up for yourself and become self sufficient, defensive and offensive, sensitive and indifferent. As a man I feel I have to do the right thing for me. Sometimes the right thing isn’t always viewed in the same light by others. Which is sometimes the point of an artist.
As an artist, both personally and professionally, I’ve gone through some rough patches and I feel it has effected my design ability and overall outlook. Those rough patches are great motivators, keeping your mind open and ready to get by, over, under, but most important, through a given situation. Times are hard, times are great, times are always changing but thats one cool thing about time. Its the only true constant. Involuntarily changing as are we with it. I remember coming up with DUSA and knowing that I was no where near where I wanted to be. I was just a kid but I knew where DUSA could go, and as a kid I wanted to grow to be a man. With that being said I see myself shaping into the person that DUSA stood for many years ago.
So if you were wondering about DUSA. Now you know.
Take care, and FUCKING GET SOME.
DUSAMTHING baby.
