ECHO SALON “NEST” PARTY

Nov. 25th the Echo Salon in Grand Rapids threw the NEST party.  Brandi Jo Rinehart, the owner, commissioned Jevon Dismuke to paint a mural in time for the party.  I got to help out with the imagery and execution.  Stencils have found a small home in my heart.  I never thought I’d say that.

Maly’s Hair Show Grand Event

We were able to pull this intro off really well!  Reuben Garcia, Jevon Dismuke, and myself.  This was the SH!T.

I got to do this entire spot for the same company.  It was a lot of fun and I hope to do more (maybe a little more cartoony projects.) with this company.  Great people.

I helped out with the thought bubbles and light bulb animations.  I did get to sit in on the editing process today, which was interesting. 

 

Mental Health Parity

Picts of a banner I made of a Mental Health Parity show.  Working with Grand Rapids Hip Hop Collation, Touchstone, and Grand Rapids Mental Heath Parity Discussion Group  we raised money and awareness for the mental health community.  Despite the weather conditions the groups that performed busted ass and the organizers were on top of their game as they got a lot accomplished in a short amount of time.

Maly’s hairshow stage model.

Javon Dismuke (Paycheck), Reuben Garcia (Cain), and myself are designing the 2009 Maly’s Hair Show stage introduction on Oct 26th.  This is the mock up model for the props.  It should be pretty sweet when we build it, paint it, and show it.
